Musicians

Some of our musicians in session at Malcolm and Sandra's

The musicians session continues to flourish with practice sessions at the start of our regular monthly meetings. All instruments and abilities are welcome. Here are our set lists:

The music for the tunes is available - there are a few below (sorry not working at present because of web space problems). Please note that they are not performances, but played deliberately without embellishment to make them simpler to follow. Greg's pipe renditions were recorded in a rush after a gig one Friday night on his PDA Dictaphone! Suggestions for tunes are always welcome. Contact Nick Warns for information: music@piedaterre.me.uk

 Notes

  1. Midi file. If left click on the mouse doesn't work, use right click and use 'Save Target As' to make copy to your hard disk and listen to it from there.

  2.  Wav  file but seems only to work with Quicktime / Real Player

  3. Two sautieres played back to back. The first is called "La Maison s'esbolha dau pe" (Occitan for "the house is falling down on the ground"), the second is "Ta maison s'esbolha Jan-Piere" (Occitan for "Your house is falling down Jan-Piere").

  4. This is provided for the benefit of Pied à Terre musicians so that they can practice the piece. The copyright belongs to Steve Ellis, who must be contacted before it is used for any other purpose.
